Assessments to Identify Key Risks

We’re committed to providing a safe working environment for all stakeholders that work, visit and/or may be affected by the activities undertaken under our control.

At Gamuda, we have identified a number of Safety and Environmental risks that we believe would have significant consequence if not managed appropriately. For each Critical Risk Standard (CRS’s) there are a number of mandatory controls that describe the minimum requirements that must be in place and demonstrated to be working effectively to manage the risk. The controls in the CRSs are supported by procedures and forms used to implement the standards. The CRS critical controls are reviewed regularly to ensure they incorporate important lessons events, changes to the overall scope of work and consultation.

CRSs are designed to be applied across the entire lifecycle of a Gamuda project. As such, personnel across the life cycle of a project are required to establish suitable methods to plan, assess, check, and review the management of high consequence risks utilising the CRS Critical Controls outlined in each standard.

Critical Controls are mandatory and must be in place for the effective management of the associated CRS. These are controls whereby failure would potentially trigger a significant event. The CRS Critical Control Effectiveness (CCE) Assessment Tool is used to plan for the implementation of Critical Controls as well as determining whether they are in place (also known as a CCE Assessment). Criteria for each Critical Control are included within the CCE Assessment Tool. All criteria must be met and in place for Critical Control to be considered as working effectively.
