At Gamuda, we are walking the talk to restore and protect our beautiful native lands. Teaming up with the Deerubbin Local Aboriginal Land Council (LALC), ten of our graduates completed an innovative social impact project to regenerate flora and fauna and install new habitats for local wildlife at Agnes Banks bushlands in Western Sydney.
Together, the team planted 400 native seedlings, and built and installed 30 specialised habitats to attract wild bees, kookaburras and cockatoos back to the area and improve biodiversity.
The project gave our graduates the opportunity to make a real life and tangible impact on our environment and a chance to learn about Aboriginal culture and the important work of Traditional Owners in land conservation and protection.
